Toru's Bday

Eiji, Toru, Miyuki, Noriko, Me, Krys, Harel & Leigh.

And the dejavu continues. Here we are at Nijyu Maru for another bday celebration. This time it was Toru's 21st! Gotta love the cultural segregation going on at this table.



Krys and Harel slaved over a tiny little oven to make these banana cakes for Toru's bday. They didnt last long.



Certain fashions successfully bridge the cultural gap......others on the other hand land awkwardly in between as Leigh proves here. Toru can pull it off nicely but I have a funny feeling Leigh won't be rushing out to buy one of these.



We finally ended up at karaoke again. We foreigners outnumbered the Japanese in our karaoke box as Miyuki and Noriko left us to do reports for uni. Leigh and Harel got us started well on the English songs.........



........but it wasnt long before Eiji had queued a few Japanese songs on the karaoke machine and was belting them out like there was no tomorrow!
