Well, first thing's first. This is the beast of a boat that we were on.
The beautiful Cumberland Magic. Depending on who you talk to, she is
worth between $750,000 and $1,000,000!
This one was taken at the marina on Hamilton Island. Got a lil annoying
always having to raise and lower the dinghy out of and into the water
but its safer up there than in the water!!! (Isnt that right Vlad!) :)
Chella thought she'd try her luck with the jellyfish in the picturesque
Macona inlet. Didnt take her long to get outta the water once this photo
had been taken thats for sure......especially since we saw a blue bottle
here the day before!
The 'trampolines' up the front of the boat were a great way to cool off
when the boat was cruising along. On the far left of the pic is a lil
white seat. That was lots of fun to sit on when we hit some big waves....
just ask Anna.U......she'll tell ya! :P
This rock pool (and the waterfall near it) is formed in Nara Inlet when
there has been a lot of rain. Had there been more rain the night before
the water would be pouring from this pool over the rocks to create
an even bigger waterfall. So I guess we were lucky.
Perhaps the most perfect beach in Australia, Whitehaven beach. The fear
of those damn Irukanji jellyfish certainly put a dampener on our visit
to Whitehaven. We only stayed for about an hour as we couldn't really swim.
But I tell u what, it sure is a beautiful place.......crystal clear
water, nobody around and miles of pure white sand.....oh and stringrays
too....lots of em! :)
No rocks or seaweed in sight! Krysy soaks up some rays on our lil
dinghy here at Whitehaven. And yup, thats Cumberland Magic there in
the background.
Hill Inlet would have to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
Unlike the sand that makes up Whitehaven beach which is quite hard, the
beaches of Hill Inlet have the softest, whitest sand you'll see anywhere.
Combine that with the swirls of white and aqua and u get what I think
all of us on this trip vote as the most memorable place that we visited!
This one (and the next) was taken down on the beach at the mouth of
Hill Inlet.
If this shot doesn't capture tropical paradise I don't know what does.
I'm not sure what island that is but damnit who cares......look at the
color of that water.....see if u can get that in Victoria!
After our beach hopping, snorkelling, hiking, fishing and exploring
each day, we retreated to the comfort of out airconditioned boat
and some gourmet tucker prepared by none other than Krysy and her
assistant chef(s). And yes.....I did spend too much time in the sun.
